FlashScroll Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of FlashScroll (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

The service

FlashScroll lets you create flashcards, study them with spaced repetition, and earn scroll time that can be used to unlock apps you've chosen to restrict on your own device. The core features are free; an optional Pro subscription unlocks unlimited decks/cards, unlimited AI flashcard generation, and other Pro features described in the App.

Your account

You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account — this is permanent and cannot be undone.

Your content

You own the flashcards, notes, and other content you create in the App. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to use any material (e.g. notes you upload) for generating flashcards.

Subscriptions and billing

Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly), billed through your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price you agreed to.
You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your device's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current period.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies — we don't process refunds directly.
You can restore a previous purchase using the "Restore Purchases" option on the paywall.

Acceptable use

Please don't use FlashScroll to: violate any law; upload content you don't have the right to use; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its backend; or use the scroll-time mechanic to circumvent Apple's Screen Time restrictions in ways that aren't your own device settings.

Screen Time feature

The app-restriction feature is provided as a study aid and relies on Apple's Screen Time APIs. Like any self-imposed restriction, it can be bypassed by changing your device's Screen Time settings directly, deleting the app, or other means outside our control — it's a tool to help build a habit, not a hard technical guarantee.

Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not responsible for study outcomes, exam results, or how you choose to use your earned scroll time.

Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
