FlashScroll ("FlashScroll," "we," "us") makes a flashcard study app that lets you earn real scroll time on your own social apps by studying. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and what choices you have.
When you create an account (Sign in with Apple or email/password), we collect your email address and, if you use Sign in with Apple, the identifier Apple provides for your account.
Everything you create in the app is stored so it can sync across your devices and survive a reinstall:
Photos you attach to a flashcard (a Pro feature) are stored only on your device — they are not uploaded to our servers and do not sync between devices.
If you choose to restrict apps behind your scroll balance, that selection is made using Apple's Screen Time API, which is designed so the specific apps you pick are never disclosed to us or to any app developer — only your device knows which apps you selected. We only ever store whether you've turned this feature on, never which apps.
We use your information to operate the app: syncing your content across devices, calculating scroll-time earned and spent, enforcing free-plan limits, generating AI flashcards when you ask for them, processing your subscription, and responding if you contact support.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. FlashScroll does not currently show ads or use any third-party analytics or ad-tracking SDKs.
We use a small number of service providers to operate the app, each of whom only receives what they need to do their job:
We do not share your information with any other third party, and we do not sell it.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account, right inside the app. This is immediate and cannot be undone — it removes your folders, flashcards, study history, subscription record, and any uploaded notes.
FlashScroll is a general-audience study tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your data is encrypted in transit and access to it is restricted by row-level security policies, so your content is only ever readable by your own account.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
